AmeriCorps NPRC

New Orleans is an amazing place and I will do everything in my power to help her rebuild, including using my vacation days for more service trips and listening to the stories of people who live there.

But Maryland is my home. Therefore I've taken the NPRC position in Baltimore with the Central Maryland Red Cross chapter:

"After much careful consideration, I have decided to accept an AmeriCorps position with the National Preparedness and Response Corps at the Central Maryland Red Cross chapter in Baltimore, Maryland. That is such a weight lifted off my shoulders.

Thanks. It was hard, but I knew it was the right decision. Actually, I knew before I left for NOLA. I ran the Baltimore Women's Classic 5k June 25th and realized that I couldn't leave the Baltimore, or the area anyway. It's not New Orleans, but it is home.
