3 hours of President Lincoln

http://www.historychannel.com/lincoln/ -I just finished watchibg that on The History Channel. Fascinating, and kinda makes me wish I were still in school so I could learn more about things like that. I suppose that's what books on tape are for.

http://www.civilwarmed.org/ -That's where my family needs to go. It's right downtown in Frederick, and despite what my mom says, it's not really that far. I do drive almost to Frederick every day, after all. Besides, the director of education there is a Red Cross volunteer who I think we deployed. It's always good to have connections.

That was such a great documentary, and I'm with you on wanting to still be in school. Learned a lot I never knew about the man, as well as the period and how far we've come (or regressed) as a nation in terms of political action. And that place in Frederick sounds awesome too. :-)
