waaaaay too close to home
Aug. 2nd, 2008 07:07 pmWhen I worked as a VISTA for the Red Cross in Frederick County, Maryland, I gave disaster education presentations at YMCA after-school programs with this man. He wore the goofiest science t-shirts and hid under tables to show kids how to be safe in a tornado. I knew he worked at Fort Detrick and I even knew he was under investigatation, but I had no idea he was being questioned by the FBI for his alleged involvement with the 2001 anthrax attacks that killed 5 people. He committed suicide on Tuesday by overdosing on tylenol and codeine.
It's a small world, a very small world.
