The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Why did you decide to start running?

I started running in the winter of 2002 to get ready for an Outward Bound kayaking course over spring break. The instructors told us that to be able to handle the course, we should be able to run 3-4 miles. At the time, that was a near-impossible challenge. I finished the course and found that I loved running and signed up for a 5k about a month later. I ran my first 1/2 marathon that summer and my first marathon that fall.

I'm not telling you that until after I graduate and ponding is no longer an imminent threat. Oh, what the heck-August 3rd. There. You're one of maybe three people from St. Mary's that knows. :-)
