May. 1st, 2004 06:57 pmYay for the Bay Bridge 10k tomorrow! Woo hoo! I'm hoping to finish in under 52 minutes, which means an 8:20 pace for 6.2 miles out over the water at 7:30 in the morning. Ouch. Waking up at 4:30 does NOT make me happy. But running my first race in almost 2 months DOES make me happy.
Speaking of being up at weird hours of the morning, I found a job in the classifieds this afternoon that sounds interesting-delivering newspapers. 3 hours in the middle of the night, every night, for $350 a week. Granted, I would have to be awake and aware in the wee hours of the morning, but I'd also have so much free time what with only needing to work 21 hours a week. But I wouldn't have weekends off...that's why working for a lawn service sounds interesting, but that's a bit of a drive. But I wouldn't have to work when it was raining or too late at night and I would have a good tan. :-)
Hee hee, so long as it's not slicing meat I'll be happy.
