Wow, that was fun. Not much beats running in driving rain, splashing through ankle-deep puddles. Nothing like getting shower-wet and not caring a bit about it.

When you've run a half marathon in 95/95 heat/humidity and a marathon in 4 inches of snow, not much fazes you anymore.

I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder or something like that. I haven't run in the rain in months and I actually missed it.

Now if I had to run in that rain for an entire marathon, then I might have to lie to myself to think I'm having fun. :-)

I seem to remember once enjoying the novelty of running in the rain. I just looked up this weekend's rainfall though...5.5 inches of rain this weekend. No matter why there were so many ponds. Maybe that's why I grumbled about the rain.
