Nov. 21st, 2005 09:56 pmI changed the oil in my car.
And I found a pale pink athletic skirt at Under Armour that my mom wouldn't let me buy this close to Christmas.
Girly and tough can actually go together. Pretty cool.
Oh, and I'm in the DSHR system now. For those of you non-Red Cross people, that means that next time there's a major disaster I'll probably be deployed.

I still have my EMT dilemma to figure out, to wit, do I sign up for the EMT course that's being offered in through my small town (with the proviso that I join the small town EMT force) or do I solely do the Red Cross?
Nick, the DS director, didn't tell me not to do the EMT thing, but he told me to think about what I wanted to do in terms of a career.
I have no other job right now. And I can't imagine the Red Cross keeps you hopping all the time - or does it? I mean, one guy said he joined DS to get out of the desk they had him in at the office.
Eventually, I'd love to join the IRT (International Response Team for the non-Red Cross folks ;)) with the Red Cross, but even that, I don't know how often people go for that, or for how long - I want to go international though.
I NMD (need more data) and I need it by - well, ASAP, really, but the 28th of Nov. at the latest, most likely, and - I think I'm going to C&P this comment and post it to my friendlist and see if they have any suggestions/ideas/anything, because, well - I could use the help. ;)
Just got back from CPR II (First Aid/Infant & Child CPR), too, actually. And the instructor said I passed both tests. So I'm happy about that. :)
