Is there anything more infuriating than to drive up to the only $1.99 gas station in town only to find out that they're out of 87 and 89 and you have to get the $2.11 93, then have the gas truck show up just as you finish up pumping? Never mind that that I thought I was coasting in on fumes only to find out that I had close to another gallon in the tank, meaning I could have waited until after work to fill up and not have been late.

It's only another $1.20, but that combined with the fact that I was 15 minutes late and it was 40* and raining did not make for a good start to the day.

Okay, I'm better now.

Yeesh--I hate when stuff like that happens. Happened to me 2 weeks ago. Hope your day gets better--don't forget you'll be seeing me in a matter of 3 days. :-)

Oh I would've been tempted to get just a few gallons and tried again after work. But I'm cheap that way.

By the time I was on my way home it had gone up to $2.08 for the regular...go figure. It was the principle of the thing more than anything else.

Er - try here. And only because gas is (slightly) less expensive upstate than downstate as a rule these days - though in a state the size of RI, that's admittedly not such a problem. :)

I'm actually amazed at the way prices have gone down - it was close to $4/gallon here right after Katrina hit!
