Giving disaster education presentations to preschools is always interesting. This morning I gave 3 at a la Petite Academy to a total of 62 kids. Just picture trying to get 30 young kids underneath a huge tan blanket so they can practice crawling low under smoke to get out of a burning house and you'll have some idea of what my morning was like.

On the way home I paid 40 bucks to get the check engine light turned off/my car looked at at Aamco. It was well-worth the money to get the confirmation that Katrina (my car) is not in fact falling apart. Not like I would know or anything, with as loud as I have the music turned up all the time.

We had lamb stew, matzo ball soup, and pineapple upside-down cake for lunch today. I'm just glad I was out of the office most of the morning so I didn't start drooling from all that good food cooking.

Aww, we have a la petite academy here in Waldorf, I always wanted to go there as a kid, lol. Sounds like fun teaching little kids what to do in a disaster situation, fun and exhausting. As anything with kids tends to be.

Bravo on getting even closer to your goal, dear...the month isn't over yet and I have a feeling that with your Walkersville presentations and such, as well as the presentations after spring break, you'll get there. :-)

And that lunch sounded so good--better than mine. Microwave pizza. :-P

I think I do a better job working with the elementary kids, but the preschoolers are so cute. Depending on the group, they can also be rather exhausting. Hopefully they at least learned that they need to go home and hassle their parents about practicing fire drills at home.
