high of 56*/low of 37* Saturday
Oct. 11th, 2006 10:17 amThat's gotta make anyone running the Baltimore Marathon this weekend really happy. Heck of a lot better than the two years I've run it where it got up in the 70s by the end of the race. Well, better for the runners anyhow. The spectators won't be so pleased.
I know I'm looking forward to running 18 miles in that weather. Well, maybe not "looking forward" to 3 plus hours of running, but you know what I mean. It'll be less painful than it could be and if nothing else I can reward myself with Snickerdoodles pastries when I'm done.
Adam, I'm thinking the marching band competition is going to be...interesting. We'll be running between the stadium and the school then hanging around for hours in near-freezing temps. My mom has offered us an unlimited supply of free hot chocolate from the concession stand and I'd highly suggest wearing your Under Armour.
Off to get ready for work. I'm subbing half a day down in Sykesville where I'll be in charge of a 4th grade classroom. How much can really happen in 3 hours, right?

Date: 2006-10-11 02:28 pm (UTC)Have fun down in Sykesville. 4th graders are actually my favorite age group with elementary students, because they aren't yet full of themselves and aren't yet handfuls. Give me a call later if you like.
