I'm flying from New Orleans to Baltimore on Tuesday December 23rd.

My family's driving from Baltimore to Michigan on Thursday December 25th.

I'm flying back to New Orleans via Detroit on Monday December 29th.

New Orleans for New Year's + just enough time with my family before they start driving me nuts = my kind of Christmas vacation. Yay for being a teacher and getting a Christmas vacation.

Have a great holiday trip! Sounds like fun, maybe you'll have a white Christmas.

We'll be having that rare Christmas in New Orleans, which is how I like it (not a big fan of extended family holidays!)

That's why I'm keeping this trip as short and sweet as I can.
I can see all my family and a few of my Maryland-bound friends and get back to New Orleans ASAP.

White Christmas=cold=lots of sweaters.

My flight gets in 10:25 on the 23rd and we don't leave for Michigan until Christmas morning. I'm all for a repeat of last year, heading up to PA the afternoon of the 24th.

Do you know yet if it'll be a boy or a girl? You probably said that in your last email but my brain's been fried by new teacher stuff lately.

That sounds like a wonderful plan. ^_^ And, hey, you can still meet my mom, since she'll still be here for the week after New Year's. (I'm actually thinking that we could get a hotel room for one night and spend a couple of days in New Orleans, since it's been a while since she's been in the city.)
