I'm up to three out of 50, including audio books.

2.  Islam:  A Short History.  I listened to this on my way back and forth to work.  The recitation of names that all sound the same to me and dates for which I didn't have much context got confusing a dragged a bit, but I enjoyed the last hour or two that talked about Islam and modernity and religious fundamentalism.  That made a lot more sense to me, esp. having just finished The World is Flat and having taken a religious fundamentalism class in college.

3.  The Tornado.  (324 pages) I'm a freak for anything have to do with extreme weather, which is one reason why I enjoy disaster education so much.  I got to read the better part of this book at work-it spends time giving facts and figures about how tornados form and where they're most likely to strike, as well as breaking down myths like the supposed attraction of tornados to mobile home parks.

Next up:  Still working on The Storm of the Century, then on to Sing to Cuba.  I'm working on reading 5 books on Caribbean literature, history or culture-this will be number 3.  In the car, I'll be listening to 18 hours of Don't Know Much About History-strange choice for a former history major, but there you are.
