Michelle's SMP rocks, by the way. Just thought I'd get that out there. A very thought-provoking and perceptive picture of college life, particularly of life here at St. Mary's. Just what I needed to remind me that there is more to life than endless history books and miles to run.
Life goes on here at St. Mary's. My Values Inq. presentation (with Annie) on Quakers went really well-besides getting an A, I thought we did a good job with presenting the material. I gave an admissions tour this afternoon to several "minority" students, though after being a minority in Miami for 4 months, I'm not sure what that means anymore. Not that it should really matter, but it was kinda strange to have 5 white students giving tours to a bunch of minority high schoolers. It really shouldn't matter, but it still seemed strange to me.
I saw Coleen as I was waiting in the library lobby for it to be time to head to history class-wasn't much sense in goign back to my room for 5 minutes. Yay Coleen! I'm so excited that we get to take self-defense together next semester, where we'll learn how to beat each other up. Oh yeah. :-) History class was cancelled, par for the course with Prof. Dennie, so I spent the rest of the afternoon looking up primary sources for my SMP. I'm excited to move beyond the endless background reading and census data entry and get my feet wet with some REAL history research. Yay-I'm so cool, aren't I? Hee hee.
Okay, tomorrow morning is the Thanksgiving race over in Historic and I volunteered to help with registration. Basically, that means that my butt needs to be over in Historic by 7:30, so I'd better get to bed. Talk to you all later.
