getting back to routine
Mar. 29th, 2006 04:37 pmI am still completely wiped out. I am making progress though. I got my 25 YMCA presentations entered on my paper desktop calendar and my bound calendar that I carry with me. I helped Judy make up packets for the Family Services class this weekend, and helped her cut out "Disasters Happen" sit reps for the Health Services Simulation next week. I even put in a bid to be the Frederick County Chapter person attending a Disaster Kitchen course on 4/30 and 5/1. That class would make that first week of May very interesting. For one thing, the class is Sunday from 9 am-5 pm, then Monday from 6 am-3 pm. For another thing, the class is in West Virginia, 2 hours from home, meaning I'd have to leave home by 4 am and wouldn't get any sleep that night. On top of all that, I have 8 YMCA presentations scheduled for that week. And just to make things even more interesting, Judy will be out that week so I'll be driving the ERV if there's a fire call during the day. You just know there's going to be probably 8 daytime DAT calls that week, because life works like that.
Plus my mom's first 10k, the Bay Bridge 10k down near Annapolis, starts at 7:30 or something crazy like that the morning of Sunday, May 7th.
So basically no rest that week. This is starting to sound like a disaster deployment all over again. :-P
Speaking of disaster deployments, I am not leaving again until at least June 23rd. No way in heck am I missing my sisters' high school graduation, even though there is a cool Supervision in Disaster class that weekend that I'd love to take. Then on June 22nd my handbell group from church has been invited to perform at a music festival or something.
Hurricane Season 2006 will just have to wait until my sisters graduate and handbell season is over.

Date: 2006-03-30 02:55 pm (UTC)But as you know, I can't play pool after a couple of those. Not that I can really play pool anyway, but at least I don't usually miss the 8 ball multiple times in a row. Oh whoops, I thought what happened there never happened. Right?
