even when it's from something as cool as sailing. I think I ripped some quad muscles, mostly in the left leg, while squatting in the boat Tuesday night. I took last night off from running (but I went for a short, late walk after watching Schindler's List with my family) and ran just 3 tonight and iced that leg on and off this evening, but I still can barely walk and it's getting really irritating. It's irritating to go from 3 runs in 24 hours with little pain last weekend (7, 3, 11), to barely being able to walk.
I know it's probably healthy in the end to be forced to take a little break from running, but it's still driving me crazy to have to deviate from my marathon training schedule. I know this is a cutback week, but I want to keep going.
Errrrgh.

Yay! Yippee skippee! I love being injured (not).
Oh well, at least I know I'm not the only one. I'm just hoping I'll wake up tomorrow morning and everything will be okay-I almost was naive enough to think that had happened this morning, but I only got to believe that for about an hour.
In the end, it was easier for me to tell you to take it easier to take it easy and rest than to actually do it myself. (Isn't that how it usually goes?)
